The leaves of the Yemen ironwood are leathery, oval or oblong, and the base of the leaves is shaped like a heart. Most of its leaves grow on the top of the stem, and there is a golden line in the center of the leaf, with green on both sides of the line.

The leaves of the rubber tree are broad linear, about 40-90cm long and 6-10cm wide. The entire leaf is bright green, with a shiny surface and no obvious petiole.
