The order of succulent cuttings

The order of succulent cuttings

1. Handling leaves

Pick leaves from plants that are growing stronger. Stop watering before picking so that it is easier to pick the leaves. Be careful when picking them.

2. Dry the leaves

Place the picked leaves in a cool and ventilated place and let the wounds dry for later use.

3. Soil Configuration

Use garden soil, nutrient soil, and cinders/volcanic rock in a ratio of 2:3:1 to prepare the required soil, and place it in the sun for 2-3 days to give the soil sufficient time to sterilize.

4. Flat-lay cuttings

Lay the dried wound leaves flat on the sterilized soil. Make sure to lay them flat and do not insert them into the soil. Do not move it at will after placing it. If buried in the soil, new sprouts of life may not be able to emerge.

5. Wait for germination

After spreading the leaves flat on the soil, do not water them, otherwise the leaves will easily rot. Place them in a ventilated place where they can be exposed to sunlight, but not in strong light. It is recommended to place it under low light indoors until it germinates and takes root.

6. Rooting and Planting

You can water the plant after the leaves sprout and take root. Water in small amounts just to moisten the soil. Dig a small hole in the soil, put the roots in, cover it with a thin layer of soil, and wait for the new life to grow.

7. Move to a flowerpot

When new life grows from the roots, just transplant it into your favorite flowerpot and the cutting is complete.
