How to grow Epiphyllum

1. Temperature

Epiphyllum prefers warm growing conditions, and the best growth temperature is 15-25℃. In summer, you need to put it in a relatively cool place and lower the temperature around it. In winter, the temperature needs to be adjusted to between 10-12℃.

2. Moisture

It prefers relatively moist conditions without standing water. In summer, you can spray water once every morning and evening to increase the humidity. In winter, you need to reduce the frequency and number of watering to ensure that the soil is not too dry.

3. Fertilization

During the growing period, it has a relatively large demand for fertilizer, so the frequency of fertilization needs to be increased, preferably once every half a month. Nitrogen fertilizer should be used as the main fertilizer, which can make its branches and leaves grow rapidly. During the flowering period, phosphorus fertilizer needs to be applied once, which can help its flowers bloom better.

4. Lighting

It prefers semi-shaded growing conditions and cannot be exposed to direct sunlight for a long time, especially in the summer when the light is relatively strong, measures must be taken to shade it. In addition, it cannot grow in a place that is too shady. In winter, it needs to be placed in a sunny place to meet its growth needs.

5. Soil

It prefers soil with good drainage and high nutrient content. It can be made by mixing leaf mold and sandy soil.
