Cultivation methods and precautions of love vine

Cultivation methods and precautions of love vine

1. Soil

The love vine likes soil with good air permeability and strong drainage. It can be mixed with peat soil, perlite and river sand.

2. Watering

Each time you water it, you should wait until the soil becomes dry. In winter, it will enter a dormant period, so you should reduce the amount of watering or stop watering. Do not water too much at normal times to avoid root rot due to water accumulation. Severe water accumulation will cause the death of the plant.

3. Lighting

The love vine likes to be exposed to scattered light. It must not be exposed to direct strong light, especially in summer. The strong sunlight will burn it and even affect its growth. In spring, autumn and winter, it can receive appropriate morning sunlight, and in summer it is enough to receive scattered light, but there cannot be insufficient light, otherwise it will cause the internodes to grow too long.

4. Temperature

The suitable growth temperature is between 15-25℃, it can grow stronger and more beautiful. The minimum temperature cannot be lower than 10℃, otherwise it will be frozen. It is best to grow it indoors in winter when the temperature is lower, and on the balcony in summer with proper ventilation.

5. Notes

1. Pests and diseases: The love vine has strong disease resistance. If there is no exogenous pest infection, pests and diseases will generally not occur. However, the breeding environment should be properly adjusted and ventilation should be ensured to reduce the infection of exogenous pests and diseases.

2. Repotting: It can grow better if you repot it at the right time. It is best to repot it in early spring. The soil should also be replaced. You can prune it appropriately when repotting.
