How to grow peace tree

How to grow peace tree

1. Soil

The peace lily grows well in slightly acidic, fertile, well-drained soil with high organic matter content. When preparing the soil, you can mix in some fine sand to make it looser.

2. Water

The peace lily grows faster in spring and autumn. During this period, it is necessary to keep the soil in the pot moist and spray water on the plant to increase humidity. After winter, it will enter a dormant period and the amount of watering can be halved.

3. Lighting

Relatively speaking, the peace lily is a plant that prefers sunlight. If it does not get enough sunlight, its leaves will be dull. On the contrary, if it is given sufficient sunlight, its leaves will be very shiny. However, you cannot expose it to the scorching sun for a long time, otherwise its leaves will be sunburned.

4. Fertilization

The peace lily also likes fertilizer and needs to be applied with compound fertilizer once a month during the growing season. When the weather gets cooler in autumn, you should apply more phosphorus and potassium to help it improve its frost resistance. Stop fertilizing after winter.

5. Notes

1. Get caught in the rain. Compared to the water we prepare for it, it prefers rainwater, and letting it get proper rain can promote its growth. However, after the rain, the accumulated water in the basin should be drained out in time.

2. Change the soil. After the peace lily has grown for 1-2 years, the nutrients in its pot will be almost consumed, and we need to replace it with new soil with high nutrient content to allow it to grow better.
