Delphinium cultivation tips and precautions

Delphinium cultivation tips and precautions

1. Lighting

It needs light, so you should let it bask in the sun at ordinary times, and illuminate it with lights in October, so that it will bloom earlier.

2. Watering

There are also requirements for watering. It needs to be kept dry and wet. If it is in the flowering season, you can water it more.

3. Fertilization

When repotting, you need to apply some fertilizer, such as dry manure. Then it depends on the growth situation. It is enough to apply cake fertilizer water once to three times a month. Nitrogen fertilizer can be applied before flowering, but more phosphorus and potassium fertilizers must be applied after flowering, and water can be applied moderately when fertilizing.

Precautions

1. Maintenance

After sowing it, what we need to do is keep the soil moist. It is best to cover it with some grass. Then we can wait for the seedlings to grow out and slowly remove the covering.

2. Transplantation

If you want to move it into a pot, you must first make sure it grows two leaves. The pot should be relatively small at this time, and you can change it to a bigger one when it grows bigger.

3. Height control

It is not a good thing if it grows too tall. At this time, we can use paclobutrazol to stabilize its height. It is usually applied about twice a month, and the concentration used each time is 0.5%.

4. Diseases

It has some common diseases, such as black spot, chrysanthemum leaf blight, etc., which can be treated with some reagents.

5. Pests

It will also be attacked by some aphids or night moths, at this time you can use insecticide emulsion.
