1. What are perennial flowers?

Some friends may have only heard of it, but are not particularly familiar with its specific concept, so here is a brief introduction. During the winter, the underground part of these plants will spend the winter in the soil; then, when the spring comes the following year, the above-ground part will sprout again, continue to develop, bloom, and eventually bear fruit. Generally speaking, most of these plants are native to cold regions. They can be divided into two categories: hardy and not hardy. For the former, it can be planted in the open field; for the latter, this is not possible and must be planted in a greenhouse.

2. Main types

(1) Peony: This is a herbaceous flower of the Ranunculaceae family. The history of its cultivation in our country is very long, thousands of years. It can almost be said that it is one of the earliest cultivated varieties in our country. It is also listed as one of the "Six Famous Flowers" and is called the "Flower Fairy". It is more common in northern my country.

(2) Peony: A typical perennial flower and a herbaceous plant. For those in the wild, the altitude is very high and they are cold-resistant species.

(3) Hollyhock: It is also quite representative. Because it is mainly distributed in Sichuan, it is named "Shu". It is also a cold-tolerant species.

(4) Lily of the valley: It is mainly distributed in North China and grows at a high altitude. It likes coolness and is extremely resistant to cold weather.

3. Used in gardens

This type of plant is very common in gardens. Generally speaking, it can be used in flower beds, flower paths, lawns, water bodies, etc. However, due to different regional characteristics, the applicable varieties are also different.
