Cultivation methods and precautions of celery leaf peony

1. Breeding methods

1. Lighting management

Although it likes light, it cannot tolerate strong light, so it should be fully shaded in the summer to avoid being burned by the sun. In winter, you can let it fully enjoy the sunlight, because this will allow the flower buds to differentiate as early as possible, so that the flowering period can be advanced. If the lighting time is too short, the flowering period will be delayed, which will promote the growth of side buds, increase the number of flower buds, and increase the amount of flowers. It can be seen from this that long days can advance the flowering period, and short days can increase the amount of flowers. Each has its own advantages, so when we choose light for it, we can determine the length of time according to our own needs.

2. Water management

It is afraid of moisture and is drought-resistant, but it cannot be too dry, especially when it is in the late growth stage. Too dry soil will put it in a dormant state, thus affecting the quality of the bulb. After planting, it is necessary to water it thoroughly for the first time. Each subsequent watering should be timely, and care should be taken to ensure that the soil is not too dry or too wet. The standard is that the leaves do not wilt.

3. Fertilizer management

Before planting it, apply enough base fertilizer, commonly used ones are cake fertilizer or animal manure. Then after transplanting, when the plant grows new leaves, you can start applying appropriate fertilizer, once every 7 days. In winter, you should pay attention to changing fertilizers. No chlorine-containing compound fertilizers should be used. After flowering, add 1 to 2 additional doses of potassium fertilizer to facilitate the growth of the bulbs.

4. Temperature management

It likes shade, the temperature should be just right, and the temperature difference between day and night should not be too large. During the day, the temperature can be controlled at 15 to 20 degrees, and at night at 7 to 8 degrees.

5. Flowering period management

After it blooms, you should adjust the indoor temperature appropriately, 15 degrees is best, so as to extend its flowering period. If you encounter some diseased plants or withered flowers, you should deal with them in time, and water them evenly, keeping the dryness and wetness balanced.

2. Precautions

1. Moisture control

Although it is drought-resistant, it should not be too dry, especially in the later stages of growth. More attention should be paid to sufficient water, otherwise it will be bad for the bulbs.

2. Summer withering

Many flower lovers are at a loss and particularly worried about the phenomenon of its drying up in summer. In fact, this is a normal phenomenon because it is easy to be dormant in summer. At this time, we can cut off its dead stems and leaves, and then put it in a cool place, let the soil dry, and everything will be fine.
