Breeding methods and precautions of Green King

Breeding methods and precautions of Green King

1. Breeding methods

1. Soil

To plant it, you need loose and well-permeable soil. You can add some water to some wood ash and use it as flower soil. If your pot is twelve centimeters thick, you will need about three hundred and fifty milliliters of wood ash. Don't bury it too deep in the soil. Plant about three small plants in one flowerpot.

2. Lighting

It prefers semi-shaded areas and should not be exposed to direct sunlight, otherwise the edges of its leaves will easily dry out and turn yellow, which will not look good. But if it is too dark, the leaves will become lighter in color and look unhealthy.

3. Temperature

Its ability to resist cold is not very strong, so it needs to be kept at a temperature of 20 to 30 degrees Celsius. If it is winter, it will go into dormancy, and it will stop growing as long as the temperature is below 13 degrees Celsius. However, the lowest temperature it can tolerate is twelve degrees Celsius. Don't let it freeze, otherwise the leaves will turn yellow and the buds at the top will die.

4. Watering

It is relatively drought-resistant, but it also likes moisture. You only need to water it about once every three days. Wait until the pot is dry before watering it again. Just keep it slightly moist. March to August is the period of vigorous growth for it. You need to spray water frequently to keep the environment at an appropriate humidity.

5. Fertilization

Give it nitrogen fertilizer once a month as it grows, and it will grow quickly. Add compound fertilizer once every twenty days or so, once every half a month from March to August, and you can reduce the frequency later. The soil should be changed every year so that the plants grown will look good.

2. Precautions

1. Its roots are fleshy. If there is too much water, it will be waterlogged and the roots will rot quickly. However, if the humidity is not enough, the leaves will also become dry and yellow.

2. Avoid heavy rain, especially when it is about to bloom, and place it in a cool and windy place.

3. The temperature is too high in summer, so you should water the plants frequently. You can also spray some water on the leaves to remove dust, lower the temperature, increase humidity, etc.

4. Leaf spot is the disease it is most susceptible to. It will get this disease if the surrounding is too humid, so it is really important to control water.
