How to grow succulent Zhulian

How to grow succulent Zhulian

1. Lighting

Adequate light will be beneficial to its growth, so be sure to place it in a place with sufficient light and allow it to get as much sunlight as possible. You can also extend the light exposure appropriately, because it basically has no dormant period, so it can also receive full sunlight. However, when the weather is particularly hot in summer, it cannot be exposed to the sun all the time. It needs to be shaded to a certain extent. It can be placed in a cool and ventilated place to avoid direct sunlight. In winter, you should put it indoors. There should be at least four hours of sunlight per day.

2. Temperature

The temperature between fifteen and twenty-eight degrees is most suitable for its growth. Too high or too low temperature will have different effects on Zhulianqi. When the temperature is higher than thirty degrees in summer or lower than five degrees in winter, its growth will become particularly slow. So in winter, be sure to remember to place the Zhulian indoors at a temperature of about ten degrees.

3. Planting

Early spring is best for planting and repotting.

4. Watering

Proper watering will also make it grow better, but be careful not to water it too much. Keep the soil in the pot properly dry. Too much watering will only cause the roots to rot. When watering, never spray water directly on the leaves from above. Remember to increase ventilation in summer, keep the plant properly dry at all times no matter what season it is, and control watering, watering four times a month.

5. Soil

Choosing a mixture of leaf mold, coarse sand and garden soil as potting soil can allow the red lotus to grow well.

6. Fertilization

Add an appropriate amount of decomposed organic cake fertilizer to the soil as base fertilizer. Just wait until its growth period and then apply a small amount of fertilizer. About once or twice a month, apply a thin liquid fertilizer.

7. Prevention and control of diseases and insect pests

The disease it is most susceptible to is leaf blight, the symptoms of which are just as its name suggests. Therefore, when infected with this disease, you can spray about one thousand to one thousand five hundred times of Fu Jue for prevention and control.
