How to grow succulent pine

How to grow succulent pine

1. Lighting

Like other succulents, the succulent tower pine loves sunlight very much. In daily maintenance, we must give it sufficient light, especially in spring, autumn and winter, we must let it fully enjoy the care. If the light is not enough, it will cause its nodes to continue to elongate, resulting in a reduction in branches, which will make it look unattractive. In addition, in the summer, you must be careful when exposing it to sunlight. It must not be exposed to direct sunlight. It must be slightly shaded to avoid sunburn, and it must also be placed in a well-ventilated environment.

2. Temperature

It is more suitable for a warmer environment and has a certain tolerance to high temperatures, but not to low temperatures. It is very cold-intolerant, so in winter, the temperature must be controlled and not lower than 5 degrees, otherwise it will easily get frostbite, which will hinder the growth of the plant.

3. Watering

Just like other succulents, it is very drought-resistant and usually does not need to be watered. Only when you find that the soil in the pot is dry, you can water it a little, but it must be watered in moderation. It is very afraid of moisture and you must not allow water to accumulate in the soil in the pot, otherwise it will easily cause root rot, which will limit the nutrition of the plant and even kill it in severe cases.

4. Fertilizer

Generally, it can grow well in relatively poor soil, so the amount of fertilizer it needs is not high. However, in order to make it grow faster, you can apply some base fertilizer when you start planting, and then when it is in its growth period, you can add some phosphorus and potassium fertilizers, so that it can grow better. No fertilization is needed at other times.

5. Pests and diseases

During the breeding process, it is inevitable that the plants will be attacked by some diseases and insects. We must prepare for prevention and control work in advance, so that we can effectively prevent damage from diseases and insects and allow the plants to grow normally.
