The difference between Dripping Guanyin and Monstera

The difference between Dripping Guanyin and Monstera

The difference in height

Dripping Guanyin: It is a beautiful herb. Due to the influence of the environment, its height may not exceed 10 cm, while others may reach 3 to 5 meters. The diameter of the trunk is between 10 and 30 cm.

Monstera: It is a climbing shrub with a height between 3 and 6 meters.

The difference between leaves

Dripping Guanyin: Some of the petioles are dirty purple, while others are green, and the length is about 1.5 meters; the leaves are grass green, about 50 cm to 90 cm long, and about 40 cm to 90 cm wide, but some can be more than 1 meter long; the leaves will not crack and are a complete piece.

Monstera: The petiole is green and about 1 meter long; the leaves are light green, while the back is a slightly whitish green, and the width of the leaves is between 40 cm and 60 cm; the leaves will crack, but due to different maintenance, some may crack, so this is also a key factor that makes it difficult to distinguish from the Monstera deliciosa.

The difference between flowers

Dripping Guanyin: The flowering period is all year round, which means it can bloom at any time. The flower color is white and has a floral fragrance.

Monstera: The flowering period is from August to September, and the color of the flowers is yellow-white, but it is difficult to bloom, especially when grown in the north.

Differences in origin:

Dripping Guanyin: It is a plant native to China and is now grown in many countries around the world.

Monstera: It is a green plant originating from Mexico. It is also very popular in my country's flower market and can now be seen in many areas.
