Cultivation methods and precautions of red feather arrowroot

Cultivation methods and precautions of red feather arrowroot

1. Soil

It generally prefers loose and fertile soil, so you cannot be careless in choosing the soil. Find some soil with good air permeability and drainage so that its roots can grow long and deep. Therefore, the soil is also very important and must be chosen well.

2. Temperature

This kind of flower grows better in warm places, so the generally suitable temperature is between 18 and 20 degrees. However, when the temperature is high, it is necessary to provide appropriate shade. The temperature cannot be too high. You can cool it down appropriately by spraying some water around its pot, which can help it cool down. The temperature cannot be too low during the winter, it must be kept above 10 degrees. If it is too low, it will easily get frostbite.

3. Moisture

Although it likes a slightly humid environment, you can't water it too much, otherwise the soil in the pot will easily become too moist, which is not good for its roots and will cause root rot. We usually only need to water it once a day. In summer, we can water it thoroughly once in the morning and then water it again in the evening. But if the soil in the pot is not dry, there is no need to water it. At the same time, we should often spray a little water on its leaves or sprinkle some water on the ground, so that we can increase the air humidity.

4. Fertilization

Generally, it does not require a lot of fertilizer, so there is no need to apply fertilizer very frequently. If you apply too much fertilizer, the plant will tend to only grow taller, and its leaves will become very green, but they will not look bright and will not be pleasing to the eye. So we usually just apply a little bit of thinner fertilizer every month during its growing season, which can help it grow more beautiful. At the same time, remember not to use concentrated fertilizer, it must be thin.
