The difference between the two

In Dali, Yunnan, these two flowers were domesticated from wild plants, so their characteristics are very different and have great differences.

Xiao Xuesu

In Yunnan, many people say there are 8 types of Xiaoxuesu, while others say there are more than 20 types. Anyway, there are all kinds. In fact, there are quite a few varieties of these two flowers, so we will simply introduce a few common ones.

Xiaoxuesu can be divided into three types according to the height of the plant: tall, medium and short.

The leaves of tall varieties are longer and grow vigorously, usually growing very tall before drooping. Appears to be more robust. The momentum of the medium variety is not much different from the tall one. It also grows more robustly, and is slightly shorter than the tall one by about ten centimeters. The dwarf varieties are like ordinary flowers and can only grow to about 30 centimeters. They look very petite and give people a soft feeling. Xiaoxuesu has white and green stem varieties, and the colors of the strokes are also white and green. The petals are slender and look very beautiful.

Snow

In Yunnan, the domestication and cultivation of Daxuesu has a history of more than a hundred years. Its flowering period is around February every year. Usually, one branch can produce several white flowers. The petals are much larger and wider than those of Xiaoxuesu. The mature Daxuesu looks very majestic, giving people a more grand feeling. It is very easy to grow Daxuesu and it blooms easily, and the flowers have a slight fragrance.
