When the flowers are watered with wastewater in the summer, they grow wildly and look different every day!

Air conditioning condensate

It's summer now, have you guys turned on the air conditioner? Friends in the southern region would probably want to stay in the air-conditioned room all day long! So do you just let the condensed water from the air conditioner flow down? What a waste!

Benefits of watering flowers with air conditioning condensate:

The formation principle of air conditioning condensate is similar to that of distilled water. Generally, it is less polluted and soft water with neutral pH, which is very suitable for watering flowers.

usage:

1. Place a bucket to collect the condensed water where it comes out.

2. Then leave the water indoors for 1 to 2 days. When the temperature is the same as the room temperature, you can use it directly to water the flowers.

Applicable flowers:

All flowers can be used.

rainwater

It's summer now, and the rain is getting heavier, so Huahua started to think about collecting some rainwater to water the flowers.

The benefits of rainwater watering

Rainwater is formed when tiny amounts of water vapor in the air cool down, and a large amount of nitrogen in the air condenses in the rainwater. When lightning strikes, it turns into nitrogen oxides. As the rain falls, it increases the nitrogen content in the soil.

Secondly, rainwater can also prevent soil compaction.

usage:

1. There is more rain in the summer. When it rains, you can put a bucket on the open balcony or roof to collect water and store it. However, be careful not to store it for too long, or keep it sealed. Now it is summer and it is easy to attract small insects.

2. Use it directly when the flowers need watering.

Points to note:

Taking into account the current environmental pollution, some areas with severe pollution can wait until the rain has fallen for a period of time before collecting the wastewater, because the wastewater contains more pollutants in the early stage of rain.

Ways to collect rainwater:

You can use an umbrella to collect rainwater. Just tie the umbrella as shown in the picture. However, this method is more suitable for flower lovers living on lower floors. It is more dangerous for users on higher floors to use this method.

Applicable flowers:

All flowers can be used.

Sun-dried tap water

The sun is so strong now that Huahua just wants to stay indoors and not go out. However, this weather is just right for drying tap water.

Why should we use tap water that has been dried in the sun to water the flowers?

As we all know, tap water needs to be disinfected. Generally, bleaching powder is used for disinfection. When this substance dissolves in water, it will produce hypochlorous acid, which is very detrimental to the growth of plants. However, this substance will decompose after being exposed to light. This is why we need to expose tap water to the sun before watering the flowers.

usage:

Collect tap water in a bucket or other container, place it in the sun for half a day to a day, and it will be ready for use.

Applicable flowers:

All flowers can be used.

Vinegar-added tap water

Huahua has also grown flowers such as jasmine and gardenia. Compared with the south, it is indeed more difficult to grow these plants in the north. The most important point is that the soil in the pots is alkaline.

Why add vinegar to tap water?

The quality of tap water is alkaline. Using tap water to water flowers for a long time can easily make the originally neutral or acidic soil become alkaline, which is not conducive to the growth of plants. In order to improve this situation, you need to add some vinegar to the water to neutralize the acidity and alkalinity of the water.

usage:

Every time you water the plant, add 1-2 drops of vinegar to the water. Either white vinegar or aged vinegar will do.

Applicable flowers:

Plants that like acidic soil, such as jasmine, gardenia, azalea, camellia, etc., are recommended.

Washing water

Summer clothes are mostly close-fitting, so Huahua is used to hand-washing them. However, she also pours out a lot of water every time she washes clothes, which she always thinks is a bit wasteful. So, Huahua uses the water after rinsing to water the flowers.

Benefits of using laundry water to water flowers:

The water used for washing clothes contains detergent, and the main ingredient of detergent is sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate, which can kill insects and inhibit the hatching of mite eggs. In addition, the detergent water can dissolve the wax on the insects, and then attach to the insect body to form a film, suffocating the insects to death.

usage:

Huahua is not talking about the first wash water here. The concentration of detergent in the first wash water is too high and will burn the plants. However, the wash water after rinsing can be used~

Just pour a small bowl of water every 2 to 3 days.

Applicable flowers:

It is more suitable for flowers that like neutral soil or alkaline soil. For example, green plants such as asparagus fern can be used.

Vegetable washing water

Flower lovers who often cook at home, how do you deal with the vegetable washing water? Just pour it directly into the sink? Although Huahua doesn’t cook much, the leftover water from washing vegetables will be contributed to my precious flowers and plants!

What are the benefits of using vegetable washing water to water flowers?

Some vegetables will have pesticide and fertilizer residues on them. After washing, these will remain in the washing water. While watering the flowers, you are also fertilizing and spraying pesticides on them!

usage:

1. The vegetable washing water suitable for watering flowers is the one without detergent added. If detergent, salt and other substances are added when washing vegetables, it will not be suitable for watering flowers.

2. Save the remaining water from washing vegetables and use it directly when it is time to water.

Applicable flowers:

All flowers are applicable.

Soak beans (barley/eight-treasure porridge) in water

Huahua likes to drink porridge and soy milk, but soybeans, coix seeds, red beans and the like need to be soaked for a while before they are cooked! Flowers usually don’t just throw away the soaked water, but collect it to plant flowers.

What are the benefits of using water used to soak beans to water flowers?

For example, the water used to soak soybeans will wash out some calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, iron, selenium and other ingredients from the soybeans. These ingredients can prolong the flowering period and increase the chlorophyll of green plants.

The water used to soak coarse grains will also contain some substances that are beneficial to the growth of flowers.

usage:

1. Collect the water, put it in a container, and place it outdoors in the sun for 3 to 5 days.

2. You can use it directly to water the flowers, about once every half a month to a month.

Applicable flowers:

All flowers can be used.

Water for raising fish and turtles

If you have small animals like fish or turtles at home, you can also use the fish water to water the flowers.

Benefits of using fish water for watering flowers:

Fish farming water contains fish excrement, which can provide fertilizer for flowers. At the same time, fish farming water is generally slightly acidic, which is very suitable for plant growth.

usage:

1. The fish tank water used should not contain salt. Some flower lovers habitually add a little salt for disinfection or medicine when changing the water for the fish. This kind of fish tank water is actually not suitable for watering flowers.

2. If you have added fertilizer to the fish tank, it is best to dilute it with twice the amount of water before watering the flowers, otherwise there will be too many nutrients and the roots may be burned.

3. If the fish tank water is not added with salt, medicine, or fertilizer, it can be used directly to water the flowers. Because they are all placed indoors, there will be no temperature differences.

Applicable flowers:

All flowers and plants can be used!

Garlic water

Mashed garlic has always been used as a condiment and is often seen on our dining tables. However, what should we do if we mash too much garlic? If you don’t want to eat it at the next meal, you can soak it in water and use it to water the flowers later!

Benefits of watering flowers with garlic:

Garlic juice has a bactericidal effect and can also repel insects. It has many benefits~

usage:

Add the mashed garlic to a bowl of water and pour it directly into the roots, or put it in a spray bottle, shake it well, and spray it on the leaves of the flowers to effectively kill bacteria.

Applicable flowers

All flowers can be used.

Aspirin water

All flower lovers should have a lot of common medicines at home. Is aspirin one of them?

Aspirin's effects:

Aspirin has many functions. For example, the salicylic acid it contains can promote root growth, as well as disinfect and kill bacteria. It has many functions!

usage:

① Add 1 aspirin tablet to 5L of water. Crush the aspirin and pour it directly onto the affected area with water.

② If it is used as rooting water, crush the aspirin and mix it with clean water in the ratio of 1:5000. Soak the cuttings for cuttings in the aspirin solution for about 1 hour. The rooting will be much faster than without soaking.
