Cultivation methods and precautions of Ficus ginseng

Cultivation methods and precautions of Ficus ginseng

Lighting requirements

As for the habits of ginseng fig, it likes light and can tolerate partial shade, so it is best to place the plant in an environment with sufficient light, followed by maintaining it under diffuse light. Of course, shade is also needed when the light is strong.

Temperature requirements

Research shows that the most suitable temperature for Ficus ginseng during its growth period is between 18-33 degrees Celsius. Therefore, we must pay attention to maintaining a suitable temperature in winter and summer, pay attention to sun protection in summer, and pay attention to frost protection in winter. If the temperature is too low, the plants will wither or even die.

Watering Problems

When watering, keep the soil in the pot slightly moist but avoid water accumulation. Therefore, you need to control the frequency and amount of watering. Water only when the soil is dry and do not water when the soil is not dry.

Precautions

1. Be careful not to move the plant at will. Once it is in place, just pay attention to watering and taking care of it.

2. Pay attention to environmental ventilation, especially indoor potted plants must maintain air circulation to prevent the plants from losing vitality.

3. Pay attention to pruning to maintain a good tree shape and improve the ornamental value of the ginseng fig. The best time to prune the plants is in spring.

4. Pay attention to the issue of repotting. Do not repot frequently. Generally speaking, it is sufficient to repot once every one or two years.

5. Pay attention to the problem of acclimatization. It is normal for the newly purchased ginseng fig potted plants to lose leaves due to environmental changes. So don't rush to seek medical treatment. Wait until the plant has adapted to the pot before performing normal management.
