How to take care of the newly bought money tree

How to take care of the newly bought money tree

1. Put it in the sun with appropriate intensity

The money tree prefers an environment with plenty of sunlight. When you just buy it, you might as well place it in the yard when it is warm so that it can receive sufficient sunlight, which will help it adapt to the new environment. But be careful, the sunlight cannot be too strong on that day, otherwise it will have the opposite effect.

2. Do not water or fertilize immediately

In the flower market, there are usually professional people to control water and fertilizer. When you buy the flowers, the soil has reached the most suitable conditions. If you water and fertilize at this time, it will cause water accumulation or excess nutrients, resulting in root burn and other phenomena. It should be left to stand for a while, and usually sprayed with water spray several times to ensure moisture. Fertilization should be done half a month later, with appropriate application of diluted fertilizer according to the growth of the money tree and soil conditions.

3. Control temperature

The newly bought money tree should not be kept in an area with too high or too low temperature. Too large a temperature change will make it unable to adjust its metabolism according to environmental changes, which may lead to growth stagnation or even death. So place it at 10-25 degrees Celsius and take good care of it so that it can adapt to the new environment as quickly as possible.

4. Pruning branches and leaves

If the money tree you bought has too many unnecessary branches and leaves that affect its appearance, you should consider pruning them. On the one hand, it can increase the ornamental value of the money tree, and on the other hand, it can reduce the loss of water and nutrients, allowing it to better adapt to the new environment.
