Four-season management of four-season primrose

Four-season management of four-season primrose

Spring Management of Primrose

After the flowers of the four-season primrose fade in spring, the old branches should be cut off as soon as possible. At the same time, apply 1-2 thin fertilizers. This is conducive to the growth of new flower branches so that they can continue to bloom. Primrose likes moist and cool weather and is not cold-resistant. When growing, always keep the environment ventilated and moist. At the same time, ensure that the soil is well-drained and has good air circulation. The most suitable soil for growing four-season primrose is sandy loam with a high humus content. Primrose has high requirements for water, so sufficient water must be ensured during the growing period.

Summer management of four-season primrose

Four-season primrose likes light and sunshine, but does not like high temperature and should avoid exposure to strong sunlight. In summer, the potted plants of four-season primrose seedlings should be placed in a cool and ventilated place during the seedling stage. At the same time, allow the four-season primrose plants to receive a small amount of scattered light. Starting from September, the potted plants can receive more scattered light. By October, the whole plant of four-season primrose can be placed under full sunlight to allow the plant to receive more sunlight, promote its growth and differentiation of flower buds.

Autumn Management of Primrose

Bring it indoors in autumn and ensure it has sufficient sunlight.

Winter management of four-season primrose

In winter, the room temperature should be kept at 15-20 degrees Celsius, and the night temperature should be maintained at 8-10 degrees Celsius. Primrose will bloom approximately 3 to 5 months after sowing the seeds. The temperature should not be too high during flowering, otherwise it will shorten the flowering period. When primroses begin to bloom in December, the indoor temperature can be controlled at around 5 degrees Celsius. This can extend the flowering period of the four-season primroses and add color to the festival.

That’s all about the four-season management of the four-season primrose. Flower lovers should pay attention to the management of the four-season primrose in their homes so that it can bloom smoothly!
