Aloe vera is a plant with thick leaves and high water content. It is a type of succulent plant and is popular because of its easy care and variety. Aloe vera has many varieties, including many horticultural varieties, and has high ornamental value when cultivated alone. So how can aloe vera survive by cuttings? 1. Aloe cutting propagation method 1. Choose the blade Select a healthy, thick aloe vera leaf from the mother plant and cut it diagonally using a sterilized knife. / 2. Dry the wound Place the cut leaves in a cool and ventilated place to dry for about two weeks. After the liquid in the wound solidifies, you can apply cinnamon powder to the wound to sterilize it. 3. Choose potting soil Choose a well-drained pot and sandy soil suitable for cacti , and lay broken tiles at the bottom to prevent the drain from being blocked. 4. Insert the seeds into the soil Apply rooting powder on the wound on the leaf, then insert the leaf obliquely into the soil, with the insertion depth being about 1/3 of the leaf. 5. Rooting and maintenance Place the potted cuttings in a warm, ventilated place with scattered light. Water them thoroughly after 4 to 5 days and keep the soil moist. They will usually take root in about half a month. 2. Precautions for Aloe Vera Cuttings Control the amount of watering to avoid water accumulation that may cause root rot, and avoid water entering the center of the leaves when watering. Provide appropriate amount of light to promote aloe photosynthesis and accelerate rooting and germination. Maintain a temperature of 25-28°C. If the air is dry, spray water mist moderately, but avoid water accumulation in the center of the leaves. Apply organic nitrogen fertilizer regularly, being careful not to overdo it to avoid fertilizer contamination of the leaves. In short, as long as everyone masters the method of aloe vera cutting propagation, they can effectively improve the survival rate of aloe vera cuttings. The right method and suitable environmental conditions will help aloe vera take root quickly and grow healthily.
