Smooth Sailing, also known as White Peace Lily, is a tropical plant. Its leaves are like small banana leaves. So how do you carry out hydroponics on it?

1. Choose a container

Hydroponic cultivation is smooth sailing, choose the right transparent container. Generally speaking, when hydroponically cultivating, you need to provide the plants with appropriate light, so you need to choose a suitable container. At the same time, when hydroponically cultivating, you need to regularly observe the growth of the plant roots to prevent the plants from rotting, so you need to choose a transparent container.

2. Select the plants

In order to have a smooth hydroponic seedling growth, you also need to choose appropriate plants. Generally, hydroponic plants need to have good disease resistance, so the selected plants should be healthy plants without diseases and pests.

At the same time, the plants cannot absorb nutrients before hydroponics and can only consume the nutrients they have stored, so the plants must be selected with thick branches.

3. Carry out hydroponics

When the hydroponics is going smoothly, use scissors to cut off the branches and leaves that grow too densely to increase the air permeability of the plant. At the same time, you also need to cut off the roots of the plant that are too long to save nutrients. Then place the trimmed plants in a pre-prepared container and add an appropriate amount of water.

Things to note when raising water

1. Water quality

The tap water for hydroponics needs to be dried after 24 hours. Raw and cold tap water is not good for plant growth. The temperature should be kept at around 16°C. Do not use too low or too high a temperature, otherwise it will affect the growth of the plants.

In addition, you need to change the water in the container regularly, generally every 7-10 days in summer and every half a month in winter, to ensure that the water in the pot is clear and clean, and the water level is at two-thirds of the roots.

As plants grow for a long time, the water quality will change. In order to ensure healthy growth, it is necessary to replace the water in a timely manner. When changing the water, the cultivation container must be cleaned and the rotten roots must be cut off.

2. Lighting

The plant is suitable for growing in a semi-shaded environment and cannot be exposed to the sun. Especially in the hot summer, direct sunlight can easily cause the plant to die. In summer, you can spray water on the leaves. In winter, the temperature is low and the light is weak, so pay attention to antifreeze.

3. Fertilization

Hydroponic farming also requires fertilization. You can use the water from fish farming at home, which contains fish feces and can promote plant growth. You can also pour a few drops of special nutrient solution for flowers when changing the water.
