Cultivation methods and precautions of potted Impatiens, Impatiens pictures

1. Breeding methods

1. Light: Impatiens is a plant that likes light. When growing it in a potted plant, it is best to place it on a south-facing balcony where there is sufficient light, which is beneficial to its growth. If it does not get sunlight for a long time, the stems and leaves will grow too long and it will be difficult to bloom.

2. Watering: It has a certain degree of drought resistance and its demand for water is not very high. During potted cultivation, you don't need to water too frequently. Just water it when you see the soil in the pot is dry, and that will meet your needs. Be careful to move the plant indoors on rainy days, avoid getting exposed to rain, and don’t let water accumulate in the pot.

3. Temperature: It likes a warmer environment, is resistant to high temperatures but not cold. Normally, it is best to provide a temperature of 16 to 26 degrees, and the plants will grow better. The temperature is low in winter, so it is necessary to control the temperature. It is best to keep the temperature above 10 degrees, otherwise frostbite will occur.

4. Fertilization: It has strong adaptability and is resistant to barrenness. However, if you want to maintain it more vigorously and bloom better, you need to fertilize it frequently. During the growth period, apply decomposed cake fertilizer water once every half a month, and supplement phosphorus and potassium fertilizers before flowering.

2. Precautions

Pay attention to diseases when caring for it, especially in June and July. The temperature is high at this time, so ventilation should be increased. If it is given a high temperature and stuffy environment, it will be easily infected with powdery mildew and leaf spot, which will seriously damage the leaves. After discovery, the diseased leaves should be cut off in time and pesticides should be sprayed to kill bacteria.
