Common problems of raising dripping Guanyin at home

Common problems of raising dripping Guanyin at home

1. What should you do if you are poisoned by the juice of the weeping angel?

It is recommended to use vinegar for detoxification. Rinse with plenty of water. The toxic ingredients are calcium oxalate and saponins; contact with the juice on the skin causes itching; contact with the eyes can cause blindness. People usually boil vinegar and a little ginger juice together and take it orally or gargle with it to detoxify. If the symptoms of poisoning are obvious, it is recommended to go to the hospital for medical treatment.

2. What should I do if the roots of the weeping angel plant rot?

The roots of the Weeping Globe are prone to rot in the summer, mainly because the soil in the pot is too wet. Pull up the Weeping Globe and cut off the rotten roots. Wear rubber gloves when cutting the roots (The Weeping Globe is poisonous! People with skin allergies should be careful.), and cut off a little bit of the healthy tissue near the rotten part. Let it dry, and then plant it after the wound heals. Plant it in plain sand or sandy soil. Do not water it for the time being. Wait until the soil in the pot is completely dry before watering it. Do it the same in the future, don’t water unless the soil is dry. In addition, place it in a ventilated place.

3.Why does the Dripping Guanyin drip water in the morning?

When the conditions are warm and humid and the soil is sufficiently moist, the weeping angel will drip water from the tips or edges of its leaves; if the air humidity is too low, the water that comes out will evaporate immediately. Because the temperature is lower at night, there is no sunlight, and the air humidity is high, vomiting water is obvious in the morning. Therefore, water droplets usually appear more frequently in the morning.

4.What’s the problem if the Dripping Guanyin falls over?

Since water is usually only poured on the roots, the water cannot reach the leaves, so the plant will fall over. It is recommended to put clean water in a spray bottle and spray it on the leaves. In a few days, the effect will be seen.

5. What should I do if the Weeping Guanyin grows too tall?

By spraying 2% paclobutrazol solution on the whole plant, you will find that the growth height of the weeping angel will not exceed 40cm in the later growth process of the weeping angel. If the weeping angel continues to grow, you can spray the entire plant again. Generally, spraying once every six months or so can achieve the effect of controlling height.
