What's wrong with the yellow leaves of Phalaenopsis? What should I do if the leaves turn yellow?

What's wrong with the yellow leaves of Phalaenopsis? What should I do if the leaves turn yellow?

1. Air Drying

Reason: Phalaenopsis needs to maintain a high humidity in its growing environment. If the growing environment is too dry, the leaves will turn slightly yellow.

Solution: The humidity should be maintained well. When the environment is dry, spray water around to increase the humidity through evaporation.

2. Improper water and fertilizer

Reason: Phalaenopsis needs reasonable watering and fertilization during its growth. If watering is neglected, the soil will become dry and the roots will dry out due to lack of water. Lack of fertilizer will lead to insufficient nutrients and weak plant growth. If you accidentally apply too much water and fertilizer, it will cause root rot and lead to yellow leaves.

Solution: If there is a lack of water and fertilizer, you can apply appropriate amounts to maintain the growth needs. If there is too much water and fertilizer, you should stop watering and fertilizing, ventilate appropriately to evaporate the accumulated water, and water appropriately to dilute the fertilizer.

3. Wrong lighting

Reason: Phalaenopsis likes to grow in semi-shade. If it is not exposed to light for a long time, the plant will become weak and the leaves will turn yellow. If it is exposed to strong sunlight, the leaves will be burned and turn yellow.

Solution: Ensure sufficient diffuse sunlight to meet the growth needs of the plants, and be careful to avoid strong sunlight exposure.

4. Temperature discomfort

Reason: Phalaenopsis has high temperature requirements. It cannot withstand high temperatures in summer and severe cold in winter. If the temperatures in summer and winter are wrong, the leaves will turn yellow.

Solution: The temperature in summer should not be higher than 32℃, and you should spray water appropriately to keep it moist. In winter, it is best not to keep it indoors at a temperature lower than 15 degrees Celsius.
