What does the leaves of Mimosa look like?

1. The appearance of Mimosa

Its leaves are quite unique. There are more than a dozen pairs of leaves on one petiole, each pair is alternate, and the leaves are arranged in a palm-like shape like feathers. When the pinnae and leaflets touch, they close and then droop. The flowering period is from March to October. The flowers are spherical inflorescences with a diameter of about 1 cm. The flowers are small and mostly light pink in color. The fruiting period is from May to November. The pods are oblong, flat, slightly curved, and will fall off when ripe.

The leaves of mimosa are like feathers and are arranged in a palm-like shape. Its leaves will fold up when touched by the outside world, just like a shy girl, hiding itself. When the leaves are folded, they will bow politely to the lady like a gentleman. The mimosa flower is fluffy pink, like a pompom, and is very beautiful.

3. Growth habits

Mimosa has strong adaptability, grows fast, and is generally easy to keep. It is native to the tropical regions of America and is now widely distributed in tropical regions around the world. At present, it is mainly distributed in Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan and other places in my country. It prefers a warm, humid and sunny growing environment and is suitable for planting in sandy soil with good drainage, rich in organic matter, loose and fertile.
