How to grow cherries

How to grow cherries

1. Seed Planting

When the cherries are ripe, remove the pits, wash the surface flesh in clean water, and then place them in a cool place to dry for 1 to 2 days before sowing. When sowing, just place the fruit core in a shallow pot and it will germinate in about 10 to 30 days. When the seedlings grow to 5 to 10 centimeters, they can be moved into pots for maintenance.

2. Cutting Planting

1. Cut cuttings: Select semi-mature and strong branches with a diameter of about 0.7-1.2 cm. Each small section is about 15 to 20 cm. Remove some of the leaves on the top, leaving only 4 to 6 leaves.

2. Prepare the substrate: Use loose and fertile soil as the cutting substrate. You can mix peat soil, vermiculite and river sand evenly.

3. Insert into the soil: Insert the prepared cuttings into the soil. After insertion, place the cuttings in a dark place. They will take root in about 2 months. Transfer after rooting. Cutting planting is simpler and has a higher survival rate.
