When does dianthus bloom

When does dianthus bloom

1. When to grow flowers

It originated in Northeast my country and other places, and is distributed in the Yangtze River, North China and even Southeast Asia. Because the South China region is relatively hot and not suitable for its growth, it can survive in other regions. Abroad, they generally live in Russia's Siberia region and North Korea. It can be sown in spring and autumn. If it is sown in spring, it will bloom in September and October of the same year. If it is sown in autumn, it will bloom in May and June of the second year.

2. Long flowering time

It is also called Luoyang flower. It belongs to the Dianthus family and the genus Dianthus. It is a perennial plant, but it is usually only grown for one or two years. It is a little different from other flowers of the same genus. It only takes one or two days from the time its flowers grow to the time they wither.

3. How to maintain

1. It is cold-resistant and drought-resistant, but afraid of extreme heat. It generally does not grow well in summer, or even withers, so be sure to shade it with a cover. It likes full sunlight and a dry and windy climate. It needs sufficiently fertile and well-drained soil, not too much water, and likes a lot of fertilizer.

2. It can absorb SO2 and chlorine. If there is a lot of toxic gas in the place, you can plant more of it. It is best to place it on the balcony, because if the light is too dim, it will easily grow tall. A stronger light intensity can make it grow more vigorously and have more and brighter flowers.

3. Control its watering. It is relatively drought-resistant, so just wait until it is completely dry before watering it. It is afraid of waterlogging. If the humidity is too high, the roots will easily rot. Before it blooms, you must control the amount of water to inhibit its growth, so that it can bloom more flowers.
