The difference between pickerel grass and raindrop flower

The difference between pickerel grass and raindrop flower

What is Yujiuhua

The raindrops are an annual aquatic herb, and the whole plant is very smooth with a fine and delicate skin. The base of the plant of the Rainforest Flower will appear slightly reddish purple, and the flowers will appear light blue or lavender. When in full bloom, they will cluster together, which is very beautiful.

What is Pickerel Grass

Pickerel grass is a perennial plant that likes water and humidity and belongs to the Pontederiaceae family. The plant of the fish grass is relatively taller than that of the rainweed, generally reaching a height of about 1.5 meters. The leaves are dense, lush, and verdant, with a smooth and varied appearance. The flowers of the fishweed also bloom in clusters, but their number is more abundant than that of the rain-flowers. There are one or two spots on the small lavender petals, which appear yellow-green.

The difference between Yujiuhua and Shuyu

Both the raindrops and the pickerel grass have good ornamental value. They are not only used for river greening, but can also be planted in flower pots. Their greening value is very significant. How do we distinguish them when they have similar appearances and functions?

Different leaves

The leaves of the rain lily tend to be round, which can also be understood as heart-shaped; the leaves of the fish grass are thin and long, and appear slightly thinner.

Different flowers

The main flowers of both the Raindrops and the Pickerel Grass bloom in clusters, but the difference is that the number of small flowers of the Raindrops is about 6, and the petals are light blue; the number of small flowers of the Pickerel Grass is far more than that of the Raindrops, probably more than 200, and the petals are blue-purple in color, which is slightly different from the Raindrops.
