The legend of the fuchsia:

A long time ago, there was a very hardworking elf who was looking for something to do. At this time he met the goddess, who gave him a task, asking him to take care of a tree that would bear golden apples. The tree was originally guarded by a monster, but now it has been handed over to the elf by the goddess. But the little monster told the elf: If someone comes to steal the golden apples, you have to ring the bell next to the golden apple tree, and I will appear to help quietly drive away the bad guys who steal the golden apples.

Days passed like this, and the elf thought: I should practice ringing the bell first. So he practiced ringing the bell. When he heard the sound of the bell, the little monster came out. But the elf said to him: I am very sorry, I am just practicing ringing the bell. When no bad guys came to steal the golden apples, the monster disappeared; this happened several times, and the little monster never appeared again. One day the bad guys came to steal the golden apples, but the elf was afraid and hid. However, thinking that it was his duty, he used up his courage to ring the bell, but the little monster thought he was practicing, so he didn't come out. The bad guys hurt the elf, and the elf cried, and his tears fell to the ground. At this time, the bell rang by itself, and the little monster came out and drove the bad guys away, but the elf died. The goddess then turned the elf into a lantern and hung it upside down on a tree to commemorate the elf. This is the origin of the hanging bell.
