Don't let these 10 kinds of flowers get wet in the rain, otherwise they will die in half a day

Huahua checked the weather forecast today and found that heavy rain would begin to fall in many places. Such bad weather is really a great test for our love of flowers and plants. Here, Huahua has specially compiled 10 kinds of plants that cannot be exposed to rain. Take a look. If any of them are plants in your home, move them back to the living room as soon as possible!

Clivia

If we count the plants that cannot be exposed to rain, Clivia must be the first one. First of all, its shape determines that it is not suitable for rain, because rainwater will flow along the leaf surface into the leaf core. If it is cloudy for a day or two in a row, the leaf core will rot due to the accumulation of water, and the rotten heart will be difficult to save.

In addition to water accumulation in the leaf core, another reason is the roots of the Clivia. Clivia has fleshy roots. If rainwater accumulates in the flowerpot for a long time and does not dry up, the roots will rot.

Dahlia

Dahlias cannot tolerate waterlogging and prefer a cool environment. Leaving them outside to be exposed to wind and rain is very hard for our beloved flowers.

The roots of dahlias are also fleshy. Waterlogging for many days can easily cause root rot, which will then cause the leaves to turn yellow and fall off, and it will take a lot of effort to maintain them.

Strelitzia Reginae

Strelitzia reginae is a very delicate flower. It can be killed even with extremely careful care, let alone being left outside in the rain.

Strelitzia reginae can only grow well in an environment with loose soil, good drainage, and cool air circulation. Otherwise, your Strelitzia will have to be shaved and grow again like this, which would be so painful.

Cyclamen

Cyclamen is in a semi-dormant state in summer, and high temperatures above 35°C will cause it to rot or even die. In heavy rain, there is not only heavy rain but also sultry weather. Just imagine how cyclamen can survive safely in such weather?

Summer is the peak season for cyclamen root rot and death, so you must pay attention.

Daphne

Daphne odora has fleshy roots and should be shaded in the summer and placed in a ventilated place.

Never let it get wet in the rain, because if the soil in the pot is too wet and water accumulates in the pot, the roots will easily rot.

Fuchsia

Fuchsia enters a dormant period in the summer, so you should not water it too frequently at this time, and it is even worse to let it get wet in the rain!

After the rain, the soil in the pot will be too wet for a long time, which will make it easy for the leaves to fall off and the flower buds to be knocked off by the heavy rain.

Gloxinia

Gloxinia is petite and cute, and comes in many colors. It is a flower that Huahua likes very much. Gloxinia does not like heavy water and should be kept cool in the summer, and care must be taken to prevent it from being invaded by heavy rain.

Excessive humidity will cause the tubers to rot, and then the leaves will curl, turn yellow and fall off, and you will cry.

Begonia

Begonia blooms most of the year, with beautiful colors and graceful shapes. I think everyone has a pot of it at home.

However, the leaves of Begonia are thick and textured. Rainwater gathers in the gaps between leaves, easily bringing bacteria in and allowing them to multiply. Many flower lovers have planted their begonias in the summer rain, so you must be careful.

Geranium

Geranium has fine hairs on its leaves and beautiful, delicate flowers, making it a very popular flower. In summer, geranium especially likes cool climate. It likes dryness and hates humidity, and cannot withstand heavy rain.

Normally, excessive watering can easily cause geraniums to rot. The weather is hot and humid in summer, and it is not easy to dissipate heat and evaporate, so it is best not to let it get wet in the rain, otherwise it will become like this!

Freesia

Hanging freesia is particularly prone to root rot, especially in the summer, when it can die due to the heat and improper watering.

Therefore, when it rains, be sure to move it back indoors, so that the freesia will have an easier time surviving the summer.

Do you have any of these flowers at home? If there is, move back home quickly!
