How to care for newly bought white crystal chrysanthemum

How to care for newly bought white crystal chrysanthemum

1. Soil

White crystal chrysanthemum has relatively high requirements for the soil environment for planting it. The nutrient content, air permeability and drainage of the soil will directly affect its growth and development. You can mix leaf mold and sand, and add a little wood ash to increase the fertility of the soil. However, it is best not to change the soil for the newly purchased white crystal chrysanthemum. Wait until it adapts to the new environment before changing it.

2. Environment

The newly bought white crystal chrysanthemum should be placed in a place with appropriate light, relative warmth and good ventilation to acclimate. After it resumes growth, provide it with a more suitable growth environment. It likes light very much. If you want it to grow well, you must give it sufficient light time and light intensity. During the growing and flowering periods, it is best to receive full sunlight, but in summer it is best to shade it during hot periods such as at noon to prevent leaf burns.

3. Watering

It likes warm and humid conditions, and the soil basically needs to be kept moist or semi-moist all the time. But you should also pay attention to the amount of watering and not let water accumulate in the pot for a long time. In winter, you can reduce the amount of watering and do not grow it in a too humid environment. When the growth is slow, you need to control the moisture to prevent root rot.

4. Fertilization

You can start fertilizing during the growing season, once every half a month or so. Using phosphorus and potassium fertilizers is more effective. Potassium fertilizer can be used during the flowering period to help prolong the flowering period.

5. Pests and diseases

If ventilation and pruning are not done well, diseases and pests are likely to occur, such as common leaf spot and stem rot. They must be sterilized and sprayed with relevant drugs in time. Prune off bad and diseased leaves in time.
