How to propagate dahlias

How to propagate dahlias

1. Cutting

First, choose a sturdy branch and trim the buds on it. Don't forget to keep a few tender buds. Don't keep the leaves below but cut them off. Then insert it into the soil, water it, place it in a cool and shaded place and wait quietly. It will grow roots normally after about a month.

2. Division

Cut off the tubers that look healthier, remember to keep the buds, then apply some wood ash on the wound to prevent it from rotting, and then plant the cut ones.

3. Sowing

Select undamaged seeds, sow them in relatively even soil, sprinkle a thin layer of fine soil on top, water them with a certain amount of water, and if conditions permit, cover them with a layer of film to create an environment with sufficient humidity and temperature for seed germination.
