What are the benefits of planting camellia in the ground

What are the benefits of planting camellia in the ground

1. Helps root growth

The camellia plant itself is very large, and planting it in the ground can allow it to take root deeper, which helps it breathe and absorb nutrients. Potted plants have a great restrictive effect on root growth, causing the plants to not grow large and to not bloom much.

2. Watering and fertilizing safety

It is easier to control the amount of water and fertilizer when planting in the ground. Generally, there will be no water accumulation, and the soil itself does not require too much fertilizer. This is not the case with potted plants. Insufficient watering will cause the plants to grow weak, while too much watering will hinder root breathing. Too little fertilizer will not protect against pests and diseases, and too much fertilizer will burn the roots.

3. Better ventilation and lighting

Camellias planted in the ground are much better in ventilation and light than those planted in pots. Most potted plants are indoors, which makes ventilation difficult, and the pots need to be moved manually to avoid yellowing and drying of leaves caused by long-term exposure to light. And ventilation is not a problem for ground planting itself. If planted individually, it can be well shaded under a tree. If planted in large numbers, a plastic greenhouse can be used for collective shade.

4. More ornamental value

Camellia plants planted in the ground are larger and grow more vigorously, so they look more beautiful and have more flowers. In addition, it is also the main material for landscaping. Whether it is a flower bed green belt or a garden villa, ground-planted camellia has more ornamental value.
