The leaves of the Prunus armeniaca look like elm leaves, and its flowers look like plum blossoms, hence the name "Prunus armeniaca". Medicinal effects of Prunus mume

The main medicine of Prunus armeniaca is its seed kernel, which is called Yuliren in traditional Chinese medicine.

It is neutral in nature, and tastes spicy, bitter and sweet. It has laxative, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, can moisturize the intestines, relieve gas and promote diuresis.

Medicinal uses of Prunus mume

Ulmus pumila is mainly used to treat large intestine qi stagnation, dry intestine constipation, edema and abdominal distension, athlete's foot, and difficulty urinating. For internal use: decoction, 3-10g; or made into pills or powder. Pregnant women need to take it under the guidance of a doctor.

Ulmus pumila can also treat wind-heat and qi constipation. Prunus mume seeds (peeled and tip removed, stir-fried), old tangerine peel (remove the white part, boiled dry in a cup of wine), and Trillium japonicum (processed), 1 liang each. Grind the above three ingredients into powder. Take 3 qian (7 grams) of it on an empty stomach and mix with water.

Ulmus pumila is used to treat bloody sweat. Grind the seeds of Prunus mume into fine powder, take 1.7 qian each time, and mix with goose pear juice.

Prunus mume is used to treat red eyes. Boil the seeds of Prunus mume in water, peel them, grind them into extremely fine pieces, and add raw borneol to treat red eyes.
