effect

Clearing away heat

Saxifrage grows in a damp environment, has a cool nature, and can be taken as a soup to clear lung heat. Combined with Indigo, it can also cool blood and stop bleeding, and is a good medicinal material for dispelling wind and clearing heat.

Detoxification

It can detoxify when combined with honeysuckle or houttuynia cordata. It can treat otitis media, urticaria, and relieve wind-heat toxins. It is recorded in many local chronicles. Some medical books in Changhai, Nanjing, Sichuan and Zhejiang have records of prescriptions for detoxification with saxifrage.

Patients with acute otitis media can crush saxifrage, filter it with gauze, add borneol, and drip it into the ear to relieve symptoms.

Contraindications

Saxifrage contains trace amounts of toxins and should not be taken in large quantities or for a long time. If the toxins accumulate to a certain level, it will be harmful to the body. If you find numbness in your tongue or other parts of your body, seek medical attention immediately.
