The Flower Language of Lupine

The Flower Language of Lupine

Flower Language

Mother's love, happiness, greedy heart, bitterness, sadness, fantasy.

Many Hakka people regard lupine as the "Hakka mother flower", representing ordinary beauty and sorrow.

Of course, some people say that the reason why the flower language contains bitter meaning is because the living environment is relatively harsh. Others say that it is the seeds themselves, which look very painful.

People who are blessed with this flower are considered to be "a dog cannot spit out ivory". They like to speak the truth and do not know how to look at colors or occasions. This kind of straightforward character needs to be changed, otherwise others will see you as someone who doesn't know how to handle things and you will suffer losses.

Origin of the name

In fact, lupine is a transliteration of the name, and its full name is lupine.

Lupine is widely planted in tea gardens in Taiwan, China, because its roots can fix fertilizer, and can provide sufficient nitrogen fertilizer for tea trees. It is affectionately called the mother flower by the locals, and this transliteration refers to the "roadside flower" in Hakka dialect, lu ben fa.

Plant Culture

Since ancient times, Christianity has had the habit of linking saints with specific flowers, because during the ceremonies of saints, altars are often decorated with blooming flowers. In medieval Catholic monasteries, all kinds of flowers were planted like in a gardening center. Over time, the church combined 366 kinds of flowers with different saints, with a fresh flower every day, which formed the so-called flower calendar.

Lupine is the flower chosen to honor Saint Eugene, the bishop of Carthage in the 5th century.
