hydroponic root succulent

1. Prepare a transparent glass bottle: gourd-shaped or narrow at the top and wide at the bottom, which is convenient for holding meat; transparent containers are convenient for observing the root system;

2. Choose healthy and sound plants:

After removing the soil-grown succulents from the pot, rinse them with clean water, cut off the old roots, leaving about 3 to 5 cm of new roots, and soak the roots in a 2000-fold diluted carbendazim solution for disinfection, then place them in a cool and ventilated place to dry for about a week.

3. Fill the bottle with water: Pour more than half of the tap water into the glass bottle, then put the processed succulents in so that part of the roots can be exposed to the water.

Hydroponic rootless succulents

1. Choose a succulent plant with vigorous growth. After cutting off the head, place it in a cool place to dry. The wound will heal in about 5 days.

2. Fill a narrow-mouthed transparent bottle with about 1/3 of water. The water level should be close to the bottom of the meat, but not touching it.

3. Place the succulent in a ventilated place with scattered light, and it will take root in about a week. Gradually increase the amount of water according to the condition of the root system.

4. The root system of water-induced physalis is relatively weak. After the roots are stable, they can be transplanted into potting soil for cultivation. When potting, you can first fill the pot with a little soil, pile it into a small cone shape, let the roots spread out and fill it in, and then slowly add soil around it.

Maintenance points

1. Ventilation: Indoor hydroponic succulents must maintain air circulation to increase oxygen in the water and promote the metabolism of the succulents!

2. Foliar topdressing: On a sunny and windless day, you can spray 0.15% potassium dihydrogen phosphate on the leaves in scattered light to promote leaf growth.

3. Root pruning: When the roots of succulents grow too long and too dense, they need to be pruned, because the nutrients in the bottle are limited and insufficient nutrients will affect the growth of the plant.
