Cultivation methods and precautions of hydroponic copper coin grass

1. Water quality

Because the water quality has some but not significant impact on it, we don't need to worry too much, but we have to keep it in fresh water with not too high hardness. In addition, we should keep the water slightly acidic.

We don't need to change the water too frequently. Generally, if there is enough water, we only need to change it once a week. Of course, water needs to be changed faster in the summer because it can be easily contaminated, for example, mosquitoes may lay eggs in it. As long as the water does not have any peculiar smell, we don’t need to pour out the previous water, just add some water. Of course, its leaves should also be exposed to a little water.

Normally, if leaves fall into the water naturally, we must remove them in time because this will affect the water quality. And we should note that if we let it come naturally, it is best to let it sit still. If green algae grows near the roots, we can leave it alone.

2. Lighting

We need to give it an appropriate amount of light, generally four hours, so that it will grow better. When there is less light, it is likely to turn yellow and wither.

3. Fertilization

Fertilization is extremely important. Generally speaking, we need to add flower fertilizer every two or three weeks, and also give it special nutrient solution on a regular basis. If we have goldfish, we can also give it the water that we change for the goldfish, which is equivalent to a disguised form of flower fertilizer.

4. Temperature

Because it prefers a temperature between 16 and 24 degrees, it grows better in this range, but if the temperature is higher or lower than that, it is not good because it will slow down its growth and it will also make it easy for insects to grow in the water.

5. Pruning

If it is well cared for, it can easily fill a whole pot, so we'd better prune it in time. If it grows lush and dense, we can transplant it to other pots so that some of it will not be deprived of sunlight due to the shade of the leaves.
