How to hydroponically cultivate silver-edged spider plants

How to hydroponically cultivate silver-edged spider plants

1. First cultivate it in soil for a certain period of time

You can pick the small hanging flowers from the plants that already have small hanging flowers, and then place them in a small flowerpot. Then, after cultivating them in soil, wait for them to grow. When they are a little bigger, you can dig them out of the flowerpot. Use clean water to wash off the soil on the roots, and then you can prepare for hydroponics.

2. You need a transparent container and a root tray

When preparing for hydroponics, you must prepare transparent containers and root trays. Because the transparent container has no holes, it will not leak; and the root tray can hold its roots and float in the water, thus preventing all the leaves from sinking to the bottom of the container and affecting the normal breathing of the leaves.

3. Prepare tap water and let it stand

When starting hydroponics, you must first prepare a sufficient amount of tap water, then put the tap water in another container and leave it for more than 24 hours. This will release the disinfectant components in it, allowing the water to better cultivate it.

4. Fertilization

When this plant is grown hydroponically, it is very important to fertilize it for the first time. If only water is added without fertilizer, it will be difficult for the plant to grow and develop. Therefore, after hydroponics, you must sprinkle the dissolved fertilizer into the container, and make sure that its roots can easily access the fertilizer.

5. Temperature

After this plant has been hydroponically cultivated, it is best to place it in the house near a window where it can receive sunlight. This will prevent the leaves from freezing due to low temperatures in winter, while also ensuring the required temperature. This kind of hydroponically grown plant cannot be placed outside the house, otherwise it will easily be damaged by frost in late autumn, causing its leaves to wither.
