Precautions for hydroponics of Dripping Guanyin

Precautions for hydroponics of Dripping Guanyin

Root rot

When the weeping angel is hydroponically cultivated, root rot is a common problem, which is mainly caused by poor water quality, unsuitable environment and large differences in water temperature when changing water. The water level should not be too high, it should cover 2/3 of the root system to prevent root rot. Clean the inside of the container frequently to prevent moss from growing.

environment

For rooms with hydroponic weeping angel plants, it is necessary to open doors and windows frequently to keep the indoor air fresh, so as to increase the dissolved oxygen content in the water in the hydroponic container, which is conducive to the healthy growth of the hydroponic weeping angel plants.

illumination

The environment where the weeping angel is placed should have scattered light and should not be too shady. It needs sufficient light in winter to grow well. The temperature needs to be kept above 10℃. It is not cold-resistant and the optimal temperature is around 20℃.

humidity

In summer, the frequency of water changes should be increased and the air humidity should be no less than 60%. Spray water frequently to create a relatively cool and humid environment for it. To keep the leaves dark green in winter, generally spray them with warm water once a week.

toxicity

The juice in the stems and leaves of the weeping angel is poisonous. Care should be taken during maintenance and management that it should not be ingested. It will cause itching and redness on the skin and should be rinsed with water in time, or it will be safer if you wear plastic gloves when handling it.

Nutrient solution

It is necessary to add appropriate amount of nutrient solution regularly. It is now available in flower markets. When you first start growing the Weeping Guanyin in water, do not add nutrient solution before new roots grow.

Water changes

When growing the weeping angel in water, be sure to change the water in time to prevent mucus from deteriorating the water quality. The temperature of the new water should be the same or similar to that of the old water, and there should not be too large a temperature difference. Every time you change the water, you must clean the mucus and moss on the roots of the weeping angel. Only rinse with water, do not wash with your hands, otherwise it will damage the roots.

The water needs to be changed once a week in summer; in spring and autumn, the plants are in a period of vigorous growth. Although more oxygen is consumed, the dissolved oxygen content in the water is relatively sufficient compared to summer. The water can be changed once every 10 to 12 days in this season; the water can be changed once every 20 days in winter. If conditions permit, shortening the interval between water changes will be beneficial to the growth of the weeping angel.
