What should I do if the leaves of Gloxinia rot?

What should I do if the leaves of Gloxinia rot?

1. Excessive watering

Reason: Although it likes a humid environment and high air humidity, if it is watered frequently, the soil is too wet or there is water accumulation, it will cause root rot, and the leaves will gradually turn yellow and rot.

Solution: Be sure to reduce watering and don’t water until the soil in the pot is dry. Also place it in a ventilated place to allow the moisture to evaporate as quickly as possible. When the plants are dormant in winter, watering should be stopped. In addition, be careful not to water the leaves when watering to avoid water stains and rot.

2. Too little light

Reason: It is a semi-shade plant. Although it cannot be exposed to direct sunlight, it cannot grow without light. If placed in a dark place without light for a long time, the leaves of the plant will gradually turn yellow and black, and may even rot and fall off.

Solution: Move the plant to a place with diffuse light as soon as possible, especially during the growing season, to expose it to more diffuse light and sunlight. Be careful to block out strong light as excessive sunlight can also cause the leaves to turn yellow.

3. Improper fertilization

Reason: Gloxinia likes fertilizer, so it is necessary to apply fertilizer frequently during management. However, if fertilizer is applied improperly, the leaves will easily rot if it gets on them. Because there are a lot of hairs on its leaves, it cannot be fertilized.

Solution: After each application of fertilizer, spray clean water to clean the leaves and keep them clean, but be careful not to leave water stains.
