1. Dark environment

Although the money tree is shade-tolerant to a certain extent, new buds cannot grow if it does not receive light for a long time. Usually, the plant needs to be placed in a semi-shaded place so that it can receive sufficient scattered light. Generally, appropriate shade is needed from late spring to mid-autumn, and the shading should be around 50-70%. If the light is too strong, it can also cause leaf burns.

2. Temperature discomfort

Money tree likes a warm environment. When the temperature exceeds 35℃ or is lower than 5℃, the plant will stop growing and will not be able to grow new shoots. Usually the temperature should be controlled between 20-32℃. If the temperature is too high, you need to spray water to cool it down. If the temperature is too low, you need to keep warm.

3. Lack of water

The money tree has good drought tolerance and does not require much water, but too little water can prevent new shoots from growing. When watering, keep the soil in the pot slightly moist, increase the environmental humidity, and spray water on the leaves regularly. However, you cannot water too much, otherwise it will easily lead to root rot, which will not only affect the growth of sprouts but may also cause the death of the plant.

4. Insufficient nutrients

The money tree needs sufficient nutrients to grow. If the soil fertility is low and little fertilizer is applied, new shoots will not be able to grow. During the growth period of the plant, urea and potassium dihydrogen phosphate should be applied 2-3 times a month to fully supplement a variety of nutrients.
