What to do if black spots appear on the leaves of green radish

What to do if black spots appear on the leaves of green radish

1. Proper shade

Reason: Pothos is suitable for growing in a relatively shady environment and does not like direct sunlight. Long-term exposure to sunlight will cause it to grow poorly and develop black spots on the leaves.

Solution: Move the green radish to a semi-shaded place indoors to receive some scattered light. When the temperature is lower in autumn and winter, you can put it in a sunny place to receive light. It not only promotes photosynthesis, but also increases its temperature.

2. Improve ventilation

Reason: When growing green radish in an environment with poor air circulation, it is not conducive to its breathing and may also breed bacteria, causing black spots on the leaves.

Solution: Indoor green radish cannot be placed in a closed room, it needs to be given enough space. You can also open windows regularly to increase indoor air circulation. When the temperature is low, you can ventilate the room during the midday sun to avoid frostbite.

3. Increase the temperature

Reason: Pothos has higher temperature requirements. The temperature cannot be lower than 10℃ in winter, otherwise it will be frostbitten and black spots will appear on the leaves.

Solution: When the temperature is low, the green radish needs to be kept warm. Especially in winter, keep it in a warm place indoors. But don't place it near a heater to avoid burning the plants. If the room temperature is low, you can cover the top with a plastic bag to maintain the temperature.

4. Prevention and treatment of leaf spot

Cause: Leaf spot is a common disease. When infected, the leaves will have brown spots that gradually turn black.

Solution: For leaf spot disease, treatment and prevention are required. First cut off the diseased branches and leaves and destroy them in a centralized manner to avoid the spread of bacteria. Then spray carbendazim on the wound to effectively kill the bacteria. Then place it in a cool and ventilated place, and do not let the soil in the pot be too moist to prevent the recurrence of the disease.
