How to propagate peony

1. Seed propagation

Choose healthy and full seeds, disinfect the soil before sowing, apply an appropriate amount of base fertilizer, and the depth of the seeds should be 3 to 4 cm when sowing. After sowing, cover with soil, tamp the soil lightly, and then water thoroughly.

2. Cutting propagation

Cutting propagation is the simplest method of propagation for peony. Cut a strong branch of the current year from the mother plant of peony, about 10 to 18 cm long, cut off the leaves at the bottom of the branch, and insert it in loose and breathable soil. Be sure to water it and keep it moist.

3. Division propagation

Dig up a large and healthy peony plant, separate it into small clusters from the intersection of its root texture, apply sulfur powder and mud on the root wounds, and then re-pot it for maintenance.
