Gardenia transplanting precautions Transplanting methods and maintenance matters

To transplant gardenia, you must first remove the pot. Do not damage the plant. Remove the soil on the plant, but keep some old soil. Cut off the old and rotten roots and disinfect them. Place the plant in the potting soil, cover the new pot with a layer of soil, then fill and compact it. The transplanting is complete.

The best time to transplant gardenias is in spring and autumn, especially before the Qingming Festival, because the air humidity, temperature and light intensity at this time are more suitable for the growth and development of the plants, and they can quickly return to their proper state.

Points to note when transplanting gardenia

1. Maintenance

We need to prepare new soil for the gardenia and always observe its growth. If it grows very well, we need to prepare a larger flowerpot and water the gardenia about three days in advance, which will help us remove the plant.

2. Watering

After planting in a new pot, we need to pour a small amount of water, never too much, and then place the gardenia in a sunny and ventilated environment, waiting for the plant to grow. Under normal circumstances, it will take about ten days to fully adapt.

Gardenia transplanting management

After the gardenia is transplanted, if it does not grow well and the air humidity is not high, you can put it in a plastic bag after transplanting, spray the bag with water in advance to ensure the air humidity, cover it halfway, and then take it off every 5 hours to ventilate.
