Can succulents survive if they wither?

Can succulents survive if they wither?

1. Can I still live?

There are many reasons why succulents wilt. If the root rot is caused by improper watering and fertilization, you can help it recover through good care. If the rot is severe, you need to cut off the rotten roots and replant with new soil. If it is black rot, it is difficult to recover through maintenance. You need to find a healthy part and re-graft.

2. How to treat

1. Mild root rot: If only a few roots are rotten and they are not black or soft, there is no need to treat the roots. Place the plant in a ventilated place to allow the moisture in the soil to evaporate as quickly as possible. Then put it in a sunny place and proper light will help it recover.

2. Severe root rot: If the root rot is severe, the rotten roots need to be cut off. Use sterilized scissors to cut off the rotten roots, and then soak them in a solution of fungicide. Take it out after soaking for a while and replant it with dry soil.

3. Mild black rot: In the early stage of black rot, only part of the roots are diseased, and the diseased parts can be cut off. In more serious cases, you can cut off the stem and let it re-root.

4. Severe black rot: If the black rot is serious, you need to cut upwards layer by layer until you reach a position that is not diseased. If the entire stem is black, you need to find complete leaves and replant it, but this is not particularly recommended because there is still a possibility of residual bacteria and infection.
