How to solve the problem of black spots on the leaves of green radish in winter

How to solve the problem of black spots on the leaves of green radish in winter

1. Proper lighting

Reason: Pothos is suitable for growing in a semi-shady environment. However, when raising it in winter, you should give it as much light as possible. Black spots will easily appear without light.

Solution: Place the green radish in a sunny place where it can receive long periods of sunlight in winter without the need for shade. Appropriate exposure can also raise the temperature and prevent frostbite on the plants.

2. Increase the temperature

Reason: Pothos is not suitable for growing in low temperature environments. Temperatures below 15°C will cause frostbite on the plants, resulting in black spots on the leaves.

Solution: If the indoor temperature can reach 15℃, you can grow it indoors. If the room temperature cannot be reached, you can put it in a plastic bag to keep it warm. But don't put the green radish in front of the heater to bake, especially after it has been frozen, as this may easily cause the plant to die.

3. Improve ventilation

Reason: Poor ventilation can lead to low oxygen content in the air, which can breed bacteria, etc. Will cause black spots on the leaves of the green radish.

Solution: Opening windows directly for ventilation in winter will cause frostbite to the plants. Generally, ventilate the plants at noon when there is plenty of sunlight and the temperature rises. Do not place the green radish under the air conditioner to be blown by the wind, as this is not good for its growth.

4. Prevention and control of pests and diseases

Reason: After the green radish is attacked by pests and diseases, black spots will appear on the leaves, usually leaf spot disease.

Solution: For pests and diseases, it is necessary to promptly cut off the diseased branches and leaves, and then spray pesticides for prevention and control. In addition, paying attention to ventilation and strengthening tax and fee management can play a preventive role.
