Can Dieffenbachia be hydroponically cultivated? How to convert soil culture to hydroponics?

1. Is it possible to grow hydroponically?

It can be cultivated in water and the method is very simple. It is easy to take root and survive, but it is not easy to transplant it later. Choose a suitable time for transplanting. After planting, place it in a ventilated and cool place to grow slowly. Avoid direct sunlight and control the humidity. Also be careful not to water it too much or apply fertilizer. It will take half a month for the seedlings to grow slowly before normal maintenance.

2. Hydroponic Method

1. Prepare the container: Hydroponic culture is best carried out in spring and autumn. Prepare a suitable container, clean it, and fill it with water for later use.

2. Clean the roots: Take the plant that you are going to change to hydroponics out of the potting soil, then place it under the faucet to rinse off the soil from the roots, and place it in a cool place to dry for a while.

3. Plant in water: After drying, place the plant in a container filled with water. Don’t fill the container too full. There should be one or two nodes above the root system exposed above the water. Then place it on the balcony for maintenance. There is no need to block light. New roots will grow in a few days.

4. Post-maintenance: Water culture maintenance requires frequent water changes, and the frequency of water changes is determined according to the temperature. If the temperature is below 28 degrees, change the water more than once a week. If the temperature is above 30 degrees, change it every three or four days.
