What to do if azalea dries up and leaves fall off

What to do if azalea dries up and leaves fall off

1. Hydration

Reason: When growing azaleas, the soil in the pot cannot be too dry. If there is no water in the soil, the plant will dry up and lose leaves due to water shortage.

Solution: Add some water to it and keep the soil slightly moist. Do not water it excessively at one time, but increase watering gradually. You should also spray water on the plants and the ground more often to increase the humidity.

2. Ventilation

Reason: Plants need to breathe fresh air. If they are in a closed environment for a long time, the growth of the whole plant will deteriorate, which will cause this situation.

Solution: You can open the windows more often to allow air to flow, or you can move it outdoors frequently, which not only allows air to flow but also allows for good sunlight exposure.

3. Fertilizer

Cause: Overfertilization or high concentration of fertilizer used will cause the plant to dry up and lose leaves.

Solution: At this time, you can add more water to the potting soil to allow the concentrated fertilizer to flow out of the pot with the water. When applying fertilizer in the later stage, we must not only control the amount, but also the concentration of the fertilizer.

4. See the Light

Reason: The plant needs light during its growth process. If it cannot receive light for a long time and is in a relatively dark environment, this symptom will appear.

Solution: The plant should be moved to a place with good light, but it should not be exposed to strong light all at once. The light should be increased gradually and water should be added appropriately.
