How to treat the soft upper part of the fortune tree

How to treat the soft upper part of the fortune tree

1. Reduce watering

Reason: Frequent watering or too much water during maintenance will cause the roots to be unable to absorb all of it, which will easily lead to rot, the leaves will turn yellow, and the branches will become soft.

Remedy: If there is too much water during maintenance, move it to a well-ventilated place in time and loosen the soil to allow the water to evaporate as soon as possible. In the later stage, you can spray water to replenish moisture, or put a plastic bag on it to keep it moist when the air is dry. In low temperature seasons, water evaporates slowly, so water should be controlled and water should be sprinkled frequently in high temperature seasons.

2. Control the temperature

Reason: It has poor cold resistance and is suitable for growing at temperatures between 20 and 30 degrees. If the temperature is too high, the leaves will turn yellow easily. If the temperature is too low, the transpiration will be excessive and the trunk will become soft easily.

Remedy: When caring for it, be careful not to place it in high temperature or direct sunlight, and of course, do not place it in a hidden place. It should be placed on the balcony and kept ventilated. Pay attention to temperature control in winter, it is best to control it between 16 and 18 degrees.

3. Stop fertilizing

Reason: If excessive fertilizer is applied during maintenance, the old leaves will fall off easily and the new leaves will be too thick, resulting in the inability to absorb nutrients normally and the branches will become soft.

Remedy: Stop fertilizing at this time and water the plant with clean water to dilute the fertilizer as quickly as possible and drain it out with the water, or remove the plant from the pot and clean the roots before replanting.
