What to do if the fortune tree has spots

What to do if the fortune tree has spots

1. Spraying

(1) Specific reasons: The most likely reason is a disease called "leaf spot". Its symptoms are relatively easy to identify. At first, small brown or tan spots will appear on the leaves, and then these spots will gradually expand. At the same time, the outer part of the leaves will turn grayish white.

(2) Solution: First, be sure to cut off the infected branches and leaves to prevent them from continuing to infect other parts. Then, you need to spray carbendazim three or four times in a row. The surrounding environment should also be improved, ensuring ventilation and not being too closed. Also pay attention to the lighting. After the plant recovers, it needs to be fertilized once or twice to ensure healthy growth.

2. Suspend fertilization

(1) Specific reasons: If the concentration of fertilizer is too high or the amount is too much, it is likely to cause fertilizer damage and the plants may develop spots.

(2) Solution: Stop fertilizing first. Wait until symptoms subside before re-fertilizing. Pay attention to adjusting the concentration and amount, and do not use raw fertilizer.

3. Proper shading

(1) Specific reasons: Too strong light can burn the plants and may also cause spots.

(2) Solution: Block out light immediately after discovery and place in semi-shaded or scattered light place for maintenance.

4. Adjust the temperature

(1) Specific reasons: In winter, if the temperature is too low and the plants are frozen, spots may also appear.

(2) Solution: Increase the temperature, preferably to around 15 degrees.
